Having grown from a seed of an idea by the renowned pianist Simon Lepper back in 2012, Elizabeth will be recording her debut solo album of songs by the British composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, who was a contemporary of Elgar and Vaughan-Williams, and who was taught composition at the Royal College of Music by Charles Villiers Stanford.
Listen to one of Coleridge-Taylor’s songs taken from his song-cycle Six Sorrow Songs, recorded from a recital in London in January 2019 – Listen to recording
