“Llewellyn’s luscious brandy-and-cream soprano is perfectly produced from the top to the bottom of her voice.”
CultureWhisper – Desdemona, Otello – 2022
In the 2021/2022 season, Elizabeth has continued her successful run of Verdi heroines (Aida, Luisa Miller, and Alice Ford in 2019, 2020, and 2021 respectively) with a searing debut as Desdemona. This followed on the heels of her return to the Metropolitan Opera as Bess in Porgy and Bess, and her acclaimed debut in the title-role of Janacek’s Jenufa, conducted by Tomas Hanus.

“Elizabeth’s rich, lyric instrument produced refined tone at every point in her wide range… a voice it would be hard to match anywhere in terms of beauty and color.”
